Ron is a lifelong resident of Aiken County. He was born and raised in Salley. Ron graduated from Wagener-Salley High School. Ron attended the S.C. Criminal Justice Academy and was an officer with the Batesburg- Leesville Police department from 2007 – 2011. Ron has demonstrated his strong support for first responders by being a Volunteer Fireman with the Hollow Creek FD many years ago and an active member as a South Carolina State Constable. Ron has been a small business owner in the CSRA since 2012. He regularly shows his support of small businesses throughout Aiken County and especially in the towns of his district. 

Ron has been involved with supporting the Aiken County government attending both county and city meetings regularly. Ron can also be found collecting aluminum cans while picking up litter from the roadsides to be recycled to make regular donations to local charities like the Blessing Boxes.

When he is not working, Ron can be found spending time with his wife of 25 years or working on classic cars, as he is an avid vintage car collector. Ron and his wife are members of the Saron Baptist Church in Wagener. He and his wife are very proud of their son who is serving in the U.S. Air Force.
